In Denmark we celebrate St. Hans' Eve. We light bonfires and

beliefs and Christianity, but it is clear that there is something magical

Swedish Christmas begins on the first Sunday in Advent. Then the seven-armed

candles are lit then it is Christmas Eve which is December 24.

Christmas begins in the afternoon on December 24 with Disney with Donald
Duck and all his friends on TV. After Donald Duck which lasts about an
hour, many children get their Christmas presents.
Then there is food, lots of food, ham, meatballs, sausages, smoked
eel, salmon, lots of cold cuts, ribs, Janson's temptation among other

A Danish Christmas is traditionally celebrated on Christmas Eve, December
24. Christmas Eve is a big family celebration with a special Christmas
dinner, opening presents and dancing around the tree. Christmas food:
Common dishes include roast duck or pork, browned potatoes (caramelized
potatoes), red cabbage and gravy. Risalamande with cherry sauce is often
served for dessert. After the meal, Christmas presents are opened, often
late in the evening. It is customary to dance around the Christmas tree,
sing Christmas carols and finish by running around the house.
The Christmas tree is decorated with Danish Dannebrog which is a very old
tradition (mid-1800s),
braided Christmas hearts that you have probably made yourself when you have
had Christmas fun (Julehygge) with mulled wine and gingerbread, as well as
candles and other Christmas decorations. .In the past were real candlelight
in the wood.
You can also decorate your home with Kravlenisser (climbing
nisse) that are hung on cabinets where they have space to hang, stars
in windows, and other decorations, both outside and inside.You also had a
